Fieldworker

Fieldworker

Fieldworker is a customizable application that enables organizations to rapidly develop and deploy mobile automation solutions for their field workers and sales forces. Fieldworker’s existing mobile solutions cover over one hundred applications in over thirty different vertical markets and the rapid application development utility is designed to provide a fast powerful and cost effective alternative to having to “custom” write a mobile computing application from scratch. FieldWorker’s products provide the capacity of capturing and exchanging mobile data as Electronic Forms, Map Information, GPS information and Digital Photo information, with the ability to “link” all of this information together and export it to a variety host data base system via wired or wireless data exchange infrastructures

FieldWorker Data

FieldWorker Data supports the collection and data exchange of Electronic Forms data, Map data, Digital Photo data, Sketch data, Electronic Signature data, and data field types can be as simple as a nested picklist, or check box, or as complex as formulas that can work with any data contained within the mobile application. 14 Data collection field types: alpha, number only, picklist, multipick, numeric slider, checkbox, note, sketch, date, time, time stamp, formula and counter

Relational database capabilities

Link data to graphics, and reference manuals

List view in spreadsheet format

Multiple serial connections supported for Bar code, Scales, Depth recorders, Spraying equipment, etc.

FieldWorker GPS

FieldWorker GPS collects GPS data from any NMEA compliant GPS receiver and then offers three ways to collect a single position, two averaging options, can collect forms based attribute information, points, lines and polygons, digital photos and sketches, offers a 'Trail' option based on time and distance intervals, supports Lasers and Navigation, and can provide a warning when using differential, if the differential signal is not performing according to user defined specifications. FieldWorker can exchange information with a variety of GIS systems. 13 Data collection field types: alpha, number only, picklist, multipick, numeric slider, checkbox, note, sketch, date, time, time stamp, formula and counter

GPS interface supporting: GPS Shapes, Differential GPS, UTM and ITRF

Automatic Laser Gun Offset

Relational database capabilities

Link data to graphics, maps and reference manuals

List view in spreadsheet format

Multiple serial connections for GPS receivers and other measuring equipment

Grid Map Displays: Trail, Navigator

FieldWorker Sync

Need more sophisticated data transfer controls than the simple file "dump" provided by most vendors? FieldWorker Sync is designed for corporations and organizations that are managing the complex dispatch and receipt of Electronic Forms, Sketch, Electronic Signature, Map, GPS and Digital Photo data. These applications often require partial updates to and from multiple mobile devices in the field. Send only "net changes" to make wireless solutions perform at a much faster level than previously possible. Exchange information directly or indirectly with any SQL or ASCII compliant organizational database including Access, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, or Sybase

Execute synchronization using any wired or wireless HTTP or TCP/IP connection

Allow users to initiate file transfers, or automatically send and receive updates at specified time intervals

Secured transfer using optional encryption and/or SQL security

Guaranteed delivery and clean recovery in case of interruption of communications

Automatically guarantees that all users performing the same operations are using identical application data structures and application user interfaces

Exercise central control over the data sent to, received from and carried by all mobile devices

Choose from snap shot or point update replication

A pure Java product designed to work with multiple platforms running any Windows/Pocket CE, Windows 32 bit operating system, EPOC, Java Virtual Machine or Java operating system

FieldWorker Server

For those who prefer a "data validation" or "data audit" step prior to forwarding the information on to one or more primary databases as well as providing the ability to provide centralized field application maintenance, centralized user logs, encryption and SQL security. Manage the flow of information to and from mobile and wireless devices with "any time any where" access

Provide a secure buffer for data that needs to be audited and cleansed before being incorporated into official databases

Update official databases with changes, additions and deletions without running special code, using replication with any ODBC or JDBC compliant database such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, or Sybase

Track user status through system maintained logs

Use optional encryption and SQL security

Practice the latest in full distributed data management with near zero database administration overhead

Scalable architecture accommodates the growth of individual mobile applications and the addition of new mobile applications

FieldWorker SDK

When a project has really special needs, FieldWorker offers a System Developer Kit (SDK) to "add" custom data and processing panels to the existing FieldWorker products. Why spend enormous amounts of time and money writing a custom program from scratch, when all you have to do is add a few custom panels to our widely used, established and proven FieldWorker mobile applications?

Use Sun's pure Java for "write once, run anywhere" flexibility

Add panels to execute special functions such as data integrity checks performed as data is collected

Build graphic interfaces that take data as it is entered and illustrate the effect that it will have

Use special encoded graphics that the field worker can relate to. Tap the graphic display to create a guaranteed accurate entry in a specific field. Or use multiple graphic displays for multiple fields

Warn field workers of potential data problems wile they are on the spot. No need to wait until fixing the problem requires a special trip back to the field

Automatically display manuals and special instructions in response to data that has just been entered. Maximize the power and versatility of field personnel by providing prompts as they are needed.
